Urghh my head’s still hurting from too many jelly shots on the 4th of July, so……. We thought we might give you guys a chance to mosh out with 3 of the most underrated bands in Perth, so we hooked up ONLY HOPE and ADRIFT who are always keen to bring the party and we were very humbled when the boys in STATUES agreed to have their return show at The Academy! Now if you’ve been living under a rock and have no idea who Only Hope are, then you should probably attend this night! These guys are by far one of the tightest bands in Perth. With members from We Are the Emergency and Foxes. Their lyrics really make you stop and appreciate everything. Adrift have been pushing the boundaries of hardcore for a few years now and if you have ever caught these young lads at work you can’t help but get into the music these 5 are creating together. With a new EP on the way, expect massive things from these guys! Statues are one of those bands you leave a gig going “what the fuck!” they are energetic, extremely talented and some of the nicest guys you will ever have a chance to meet. After a hugely successful opening night we’re giving you amazing people the chance to party again! and were not skimping on the quality either, We have the same insane drink prices, the same awesome Dj’s and the bands have certainly not been forgotten! This week’s we have the Melbourne boys BORIS THE BLADE coming down to party! Unless you’ve been living under a rock the past couple of months, then you would know the hype around these guys! Featuring ex members of THE RED SHORE, and making waves right across the world for their incredibly awesome EP ‘Tides of damnation’ these boys are looking to be one of the biggest break through acts of 2012. We decided to sweeten the deal by adding Perth Local Lads ANCHORED and AVERIA SKIES to the mix as well. ANCHORED are making a name for them selves around Australia with the up-coming split ep with the boys from HALLOWER. AVERIA SKIES are extremely cool and if you haven’t seen them and their sheer talent then you are missing out, Having just finished their video for their upcoming single ” with local company Perdition Productions.
